Can New Line Cinema aford to give up on Lost in Space?
It seems as though New Line Cinema has taken a much slower stand on whether or not a sequel will be made. As much as I can find out, Lost in Space through very modest distribution earned approximately $130,000,000.00.
I believe a letter writing campaign to studio executives is in order. New Line needs to understand that this property is sound and can be a financial success.

With today's movie studio looking for the big kill, 130 million dollars is nothing to sneeze at. I believe there will be a sequel. I think New Line knows the numbers were not bad. In fact, for the time of year the film was released, they were pretty good.
